Where are you Wednesday Evening for ONE hour? Stand on the corner, share a moment of pink, and spread peace across our cities and towns!
Wednesday Women Vigils for Peace take place around the country and maybe even the world between the hours of 5 to 7 every Wednesday evening. We eventually hope to have vigils in every city or town, on every street corner across the country and world.
Vigils can be silent, with candles - especially during the winter months when it gets dark so early, candle light vigils are effective.
Vigils are also an excellent means for recruiting new CodePINK members, doing voter education with the quarter page info sheets, registering voters, and in general, making a pink presence - keeping us foremost in the minds of passersby. But most importantly, keeping the fight against this war in Iraq foremost in u.s. peoples' thoughts.
We always have a banner that says "Stop the Killing in Iraq" and " # US dead" " # Iraqi's dead"
We also have available for download:
