San Francisco East Bay and San Francisco Bay Area CodePINK Women for Peace CodePINK Actions

Thanksgiving Week Actions On Wednesday Nov 22nd:
  1. Make phone calls for our No Buying action on Friday - we'll give you a suggested script and phone numbers; you can work from home or come into the office. You can make 10, 50, 100 calls - your choice! Phone calling REALLY works to get out the activists!

  2. Table at the Berkeley Bowl holiday dinner rush hour from 10am to 2:00p.m. - hand out flyers about "No buying" on Friday, get folks to sign up for "No buying" shifts

  3. Early morning Rush Hour Freeway Bannering - help hold up "No buying" banner

  4. 5:00p.m. Banner Making Party & Action Training - come by the CodePINK Office, 1248 Solano Ave., while we make banners, posters & firm up plans for Friday's actions.
On Thursday morning Nov 23rd:
  1. Set out shoes from our WITS action in the parking lot so they can dry (we got caught in the rain!). Help make new cards with the names of Iraqi civilians who have been killed - each pair of shoes needs a card. We have the cards, the names, the magic markers - we just need you to print & tie them on to the shoes. 8:00a.m. to 2:30p.m. at the CodePINK Office, 1248 Solano Ave, Albany 510-524-2776

  2. Freeway Bannering - help hold up "No buying" banner for an hour at noon
On Friday, Nov 24th "No buying while Soldiers are Dying":
  1. Sign up for whatever shift at the Westfield Mall that you can make: we ESPECIALLY need 5 more folks for the 6:30a.m. - 8:30 a.m. early birds shift. This one is REALLY important as folks will be lining up before the doors open at 7:00 & we want to try to turn them away, at least for that day.

  2. We also need about 3 more folks for the 10-noon shift - this is another important shift, where the not early birds but the fervent shoppers arrive.

  3. Union Square at noon: 50' banner drop opportunities!

  4. And the next most important shift at the Westfield Mall, 1-3p.m. and another banner drop opportunity.
